Who doesn't love getting a first look at something new? Well the 'First Look' features will focus on giving you the first glimpse at a range of hot new things from apps to trends, there will be a plethora of exclusive tidbits to keep you in the know.

Recently I sat down for tea with Irshaad Sayed, Champion EFC Fighter and now co-founder of First Access to have a chat about his new venture. Sayed was inspired to create this site after moving to New Zealand and he used a similar service to get to know the fine dining restaurant scene at a fraction of the price.

First Access is a restaurant booking portal with a difference. The portal allows you to book the 'first' table at a restaurant, which is essentially the early booking. The best part is that your booking comes with a 50% discount off your food bill. It emulates a concept that is gaining popularity all over the world.

The objective of the website is to make fine dining accessible and encourage South Africans to explore the restaurant scene. Initially the focus will be on restaurants in Cape Town and soon enough they will be expanding into other major cities.

The booking fee is R100 for each visit and sign-ups are now live on the site.
