Bunless Burgers

I love junk food as much as the next person. Sometimes it's so satisfying to take a big bite out of a greasy burger and not care about anything else for a moment. However, a sensational juicy burger that leaves you full and with a big smile on your face doesn't have to be bad anymore. My recipe for a divine bunless burger is actually so easy because it doesn't require intense labour and it's even great for setting up in a build it yourself fashion for guests when entertaining.

Ingredients: (Serves 2)
2 Woolworths Beef Burgers
1 Red Onion
1 Handful fresh Lettuce
8 Slices of Cucumber
1/2 Yellow Pepper
1/2 Avocado
1/2 disc of Feta
1 Handful of Basil (roughly chopped)
Method:
1. In a hot pan fry the burgers until golden brown on each side.
2. Slice the red onion and fry in the fat from the burgers until soft.
3. Thinly slice the yellow pepper and the avocado.
4. On a plate place 1/2 of the lettuce leaves top with the yellow pepper, cucumber slices and place the burger on top. Cover the burger with red onion, add the sliced avocado and crumble feta on top. To finish liberally garnish with roughly chopped basil.
5. Enjoy!
